The repair kit allows you to make the lock of a BMW motorcycle pannier, top case, or other locking components functional again, or to code it to match an existing key.

The repair kit is universally usable for many BMW motorcycles with pannier or top case locks:
K series: K25/K26/K27/K28/K40/K43

R models: R1200GS, R1200GS Adventure, R1250GS (up to around 2020)

Application – Setup and Coding
Select from the supplied wafers and springs those that match your key profile.
Normally eight tabs are used.
Insert them together with the springs into the cylinder core while your key is inserted.
Place the prepared lock core into your housing (e.g., pannier or top case).
Turn the key to secure — the lock closes and fits precisely to your key.
The lock will then be as secure as the original and can only be opened with your key.
